Care
The Caring Committee responds to the needs of the church family, offering compassion and support in challenging times such as illness, death, and job loss. The Committee is available for short term emergency help as well as problem solving for long term needs.
When notified of a situation, the Committee makes arrangements to respond. Committee people deliver meals to ill or incapacitated members and new mothers, visit those in hospital or shut-in at home, give rides to appointments, send cards on appropriate occasions, shop for groceries and run errands, and even supply emergency child care. A sub-committee provides receptions following funerals and memorial services for church members (donations are accepted but not required).
The Committee depends on input from the Minister and members of the congregation. Please inform the committee chair or the Minister if you know of a member in need of support.
9 a.m. on the 2nd Monday of the month.
New members are always welcome to help with this important and rewarding work
