Black History in Us

Rev. Lane Fisher
Barbara Harlow
Laurie Strubbe and Cindy Schilling

How can we dismantle our 400-year history of white supremacy when we live in overwhelmingly (but not entirely) white communities? We must begin with our own conceptions about race.
For this morning’s service, Rev. Lane asks that you send a short response to one of these questions: When did you realize that you are “white"? When did you realize that you are not “white”?  Your story will become part of this service, but your name will be withheld unless you state a case for including it. Please shoot for 200 words or less, and e-mail to lanefisher [at] myfairpoint.net (lanefisher[at]myfairpoint[dot]net) with “white” in the subject line.
