Sermon: Building the Architecture of Our Interdependence

Rev. Shayna Appel

May 10th; “Developing the Architecture of Our Interdependence”

The Seventh Principle of Unitarian Universalism affirms Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.  In the past, this principle has inspired great works by UU’s on behalf of environmental causes.  But in this 21st century where disconnection, isolation and seclusion can be found at the core of most of our worlds problems, how might engagement with the second half of that principle (of which we are a part) offer us and our world a real way forward? What promise and hope is there to be found in developing the architecture of our interdependence?
