Sermon: Atheism

Atheism: The New Wave. Rev. Robins. UU Congregations have long been a congenial home for atheists and agnostics. A discussion at 12:00 will focus on writers such as Hithchens, Dennet, Dawkins, Harris, and particularly the book, the Portable Atheist by Christopher Hitchens. This book can be ordered through Toadstool or the library, or the Internet. This Sunday’s collection is tentatively planned for the Community Supper.

Outdoor Service

Our Abundant Harvest
Intergenerational Worship
Sunday, September 26, 2010
10:15 AM
80 East Mountain Road, Peterborough
(right-hand turn off Sandhill Road, 2nd driveway on the left)

On Sunday, September 26 the entire church community, young and old alike, will celebrate our common worship outdoors, under Autumn skies at the foot of the Pack Monadnocks.

Please bring a contribution to our harvest table from which we will all partake during a time of fellowship following worship: food, flowers, foliage, something from your own garden, other local food ~ whatever you’d like to share.

Also, please bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit on.

And, please, arrive EARLY! as it will take some time to get parked and situated in our seats. We would like to begin, as is our custom, at 10:15 AM.

If the weather prohibits an outdoor service, we will worship, as usual, in the Church.

Any questions . . . please contact the Church office. Thanks!
