Sermon: Faith, Hope and Reconciliation

Rev. Olivia Holmes

Sunday, April 14

Rev. Olivia Holmes, Interim Minister at the UU Church of Nashua is exchanging pulpits with David this morning.  Her sermon, "Faith, Hope, and Reconciliation," is about how President Nelson Mandela, a black South African imprisoned for 27 years, was able to transform South Africa peacefully to majority rule, blacks over whites, to put it starkly.  This is about gleanings that could help us all.  Before moving to Temple in 2007, Holmes served as the Director of International and Interfaith Relations for the UUA, and travelled to So. Africa in 2001 to represent us at the Parliament for the World's Religions.
