Thoughtful tidbits for every week.  You know…to keep up your spiritual blood sugar.

Thank you

A big thank you to Marsha Morrow for stepping in to help with Community Hour last Sunday, after managing the rummage sale ALL week!  And thank you to Margot Johnson, who also stepped up to make the coffee.  What would  you do without your coffee on Sunday morning? If it weren’t for them, your cup of joe would have been a cup of ‘no’.

Open Stage October 4th

Jake Hobbs

Parish Hall Open Stage takes pride in featuring local Monadnock regional talent

and this coming Friday, October 4th will be no exception. Hailing from Peterborough, NH, Jake Hobbs is a young, versatile acoustic/alternative style performer. His music has been described as a concoction of ingredients that include a little bit of pop music reminiscent off the British rock group Coldplay. Mix in the melodic space where Jeff Buckley meets John Mayor, and there you have Jake’s own special musical recipe.

Jake Hobbs will feature beginning at 8:30PM and our usual variety of open mike entertainment will precede Jake at 7:30. All musicians and poets may sign up at Parish Hall beginning at 6:45 PM. We also accept three advance sign-ups for anyone who may be driving a distance to appear on our stage. There is a small voluntary donation of $5.00 at the door and the Parish Hall offers beverages and fresh baked goods throughout the performances.  Contact jackkidmusic@gmail.com.

Music Committee

The Music Committee will meet in the choir loft at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct 13.

Inkjet Cartridges

Guess what?  We’re still taking inkjet cartridges!  There is a box in the Parish hall as well as one in the church office.  Leave them in the box and we get rewards!  It’s made a huge difference in our office expenses.  Keep it up.  I know you’re still printing…

Crop Walk

The Crop Walk is in Dublin this year on Saturday, October 5th at 8:30 am.  We participate yearly to help support our local pantries and hunger programs world-wide either through the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) or the Church World Service (CWS) who organize the walk.  The walk starts at the Dublin Church and is only 4 miles but...those miles are hilly.  We're told there's no flat land in Dublin!  Energetic people step up! Walking papers are available from Julie Flood Page after our outdoor service.   If you can't walk, do consider sponsoring our walkers.

John Morison Memorial Service

Will be held at the Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church on Sunday December 1, 2pm, followed by a reception in the parish hall.
